HOST/SERVER

First impressions are everything. We are looking for a true ‘people person’ who can welcome and seat guests ~ getting them settled in for the evening ~ and share the story behind our restaurant, Henning’s cooking traditions, and what’s currently growing in our garden.

Julia’s Local is a well-oiled machine made up of industry professionals.

You’ll collaborate with a small team in the dining room and bar; take drinks and food orders; process payments. You’ll also support our lead server (Kelly), and food runner/backwaiter (“CC”), by clearing tables between courses, cleaning and resetting tables between parties, and generally assisting dining room and bar staff, as needed.

You’ll also handle selected side work (during/after service) and contributes to the overall close-out procedures.

Days & hours:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
4:30pm until closing (around 10:30pm)

Compensation:
$25-$30/hour based on experience

Skills & physical requirements for all positions:
No experience required — training provided
Team-oriented attitude
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to lift, carry, and balance items such as trays and stacks of plates
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for extended periods
